Because I’ve been sleeping-in later and later, I rarely get to listen to NPR anytime before The Brian Lehrer Show starts. But yesterday morning was one of those rare occasions when I was up before 9am. I turned on NPR for Morning Edition and was hearing MIA. (If you haven’t heard her yet, you should) I thought maybe I’d bumped the tuner on an earlier, groggier morning, but then figured what other NYC station would be cool enough to play M.I.A?

They were totally pumping her up in the story, saying her music “plays like the best video game ever made” and attempts to “shake the world by getting us to shake ourselves”. I was in and out while it was playing on my clock radio, so when I got to work I found that they have an audio stream of the show on the NPR site.
